Flooded Again!!

It's 5/14/06 and this is the 4th time now that we've flooded out due to spring rains.  Not sure what to do about this, but we clearly have to do something since it's obviously going to continue.  We always know when it's coming.  First comes the Spring thaw, then the sprinkles...then the weather report of 5-8" of rain over a 36 hour period.

Well, here we are again!  It's only 11:13 a.m. and it's supposed to rain heavily all day and all night...and below is where we are now.

The basement presently has some puddles forming...I have a pump running that seems to be keeping up with the inward flow...but I don't think that's going to last very long.  Once it gets horrible...I'll take some pictures there too to share with y'all.

	This is a picture of the back of our neighbor's house.  To the Right, you can see the bottom of their lawn, which is adjacent to the river out back and the golf course.		If we pan a little to the right, you can see where the river has overtaken the golf course and a most of their back lawn.		Pan a bit more to the right, and we're now approaching the river bank.
	And there's the river.  We have about 4 inches left before it overtakes the bank, which should occur around 4 this afternoon.		And there's the bottom of our driveway, which is now coming in through the garage and the door to our finished basement.  Are we having fun yet?		This is the end of our street now.
	Tried to drive around the block to avoid the water...and I ran into this.		Here's a close-up of that poor slob's car, which is about to float away.  I'm going to start gathering two of every animal...please give me a buzz when the Ark is ready.  :)
